While fishing you just never know what might swim by!
Black bears are very common in our area. With the proper precautions incidents can be avoided. We ask all our guests not to discard scraps or grease anywhere near the cabins. With these precautions in place we have never had an unwelcome visitor in our camps.

At Berglund Outposts the possibilities are always there to get that once in a lifetime shot.....by camera, lucky moose!
We noticed a rock in the lake that seemed unfamiliar. While moving closer to it we realized what it was. At that point the bull lifted his head out of the water. I don't know who was more surprised us or him! But we had the camera to capture the moment and treasure the memory.

Remember that good advice your Mother gave you, "Look but don't touch". This picture says just that, bear cubs are adorable, cute and very curious. Always remember to respect wildlife, but be prepared for those Kodak moments.
