All USA citizens 14 years of age and older will need a passport for re-entry into the US after visiting abroad. This is going into affect January 1, 2008. This is not required by the Canadian side but is required by the US side. So for now get in line and get the process started...there may be extensions on this but for now all of my contacts are saying it is a mandatory form of identification and will be enforced for the 2008 season. So do not take a chance on ruining your yearly trip to Ontario, sign up for your passport today!
