Have you ever dropped a buck tail jig tipped with a minnow down forty feet over a hundred foot bottom?
At Berglund Outposts we come to expect this every time we go out. The sheer pleasure of the fight will keep you coming back for more! When jigging we use 5 to 6 foot heavy action rods, with 15 to 20 pound test line. This fish went back in the lake to preserve the fisheries for our children.
"No steak tonight, we are having fresh walleye!"
At Berglund Outposts we practice catch and release, notice the size of the fish........all walleye over 18" are placed back in the lake as these are the mature fish for future fisheries. These fish did feed ten people that night. Nothing better than fillets caught fresh from the lake! However, that steak on the grill tastes mighty fine too!

You can't beat a good day's fishing followed by a great swim on a sandy beach! Both of our cabins on Nora Lake are blessed with fantastic sandy beaches. The wonderful thing about our cabins is the remoteness and the solitude of not having to
share with anyone else.
